As a native and lifelong resident of Watauga County, Tim has developed a unique understanding of the High Country. As a member of a family that now spans 10 generations in Watauga County, he has had the opportunity of seeing the Boone area grow from a small mountain town into a vibrant economic, cultural and educational community. This perspective is a valuable asset in assisting his real estate clients with their real estate needs.

Tim graduated from Appalachian State University with a degree in Communications and worked locally in the field of advertising for several years. However, it didn’t take long for Tim to realize that he needed to follow his entrepreneurial spirit and he and his wife purchased a small retail paint and decorating business. The business was blessed with quick growth and success. Tim attributed the success to his philosophy that developing relationships built upon trust, honesty and integrity coupled with hard work will create business success. Tim was joined in the business by his brother, Jamey, and they and their staff were able to expand the business into a successful venture for over 20 years.

Tim continues to believe in the importance of developing relationships in his real estate business. He believes that people buy from people they trust and with that in mind he has experienced a successful career in residential, land and commercial real estate sales. He works hard to use his knowledge of the area as well as his experience in business and community service to provide his clients with a professional real estate buying or selling experience.

Tim and his wife of 35 years, Delora, live on a small farm in the Vilas community. They are blessed with three married adult children and five grandchildren who also live locally. He is active in the community serving with organizations such as the Boone Area Chamber of Commerce, Watauga County Economic Commission and the Watauga Cattlemen’s Association. He also counts it a privilege to serve in many capacities at Mt. Vernon Baptist Church. He enjoys farming, golfing, traveling and spending time with his family.
